Taking a look at Logo Re-Design, this week we finished off a new logo for a local client. The Irish Astronomical Trail, Although we are based in Belfast and they are based in Dublin, Ireland, there was no problems with this remove style of working. This logo was the product of many changes and refinements, over a few weeks, but after lots of choices and decisions, the final product is a really nice logo for many different people to enjoy.
The logo needed to reflect a few key values and points:
- It had to represent a family feeling
- It had to be bright and approachable
- It had to be clean and easy to use in a variety of media
- It needed a link with Astronomy
We began by making a few test ideas or prototypes and sketches etc, just to begin with , a kick off.
It was clear form these ideas that they are not finished, From these initial ideas, (there were many more) we can start to get a clearer picture of what the logo will look like and how it is functioning, Does it work on the headed paper and the website, what about the business card and email signature?
We also like to render out lots of ideas for the client to use, These ideas are all similar but in their own way add a different element to the logo.
